I'm MATHIAS DAVIN, a visual artist based in paris.

Trained in anthropology at EHESS before turning to motion design and CGI, I developed an approach to image-making shaped by a strong interest in culture, narratives, and the systems behind them.

I refined my visual practice working on projects for luxury houses such as Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Cartier and Louis Vuitton, creating images at the intersection of art direction, 3D production and brand storytelling.

Today, I work as an independent motion designer and art director, combining conceptual thinking with hands-on production. My background allows me to approach each project beyond aesthetics alone, with particular attention to context, meaning and visual coherence.

I’m particularly drawn to projects where strong ideas, visual culture and technical craft come together to create images with a clear point of view.
